Specs & the full story
Experience superior water quality throughout your entire home with Carbon by AquaOx. Crafted from premium activated coconut shell carbon, this system efficiently targets chlorine, chlorinated solvents, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), delivering odor-free, crystal-clear, and great-tasting water straight from every tap. With an innovative upflow Vortech tank design, media channeling is prevented—ensuring maximum contact time with the carbon and extending its life for consistently impressive filtration.
Free of any motorized heads or complex electronics, Carbon by AquaOx is remarkably low-maintenance and easy to install, making it the ideal choice for city water customers looking for a straightforward, cost-effective way to achieve cleaner, better-tasting water. Whether you’re savoring a fresh glass from the kitchen faucet or relaxing in a chlorine-free shower, you’ll appreciate the difference that high-grade carbon filtration can make.

It’s not cheap, but it’s clearly built to last. The fittings are better than what I’ve seen on other systems.

Carbon by AquaOx, specifically
The questions we hear most about this exact product.
How is this different from The AquaOx?
This system uses carbon only, great for city water where chlorine and taste are the main concerns. The AquaOx adds 5 more media layers to also remove PFAS, lead, heavy metals, and 300+ contaminants.
Do I need to change cartridges?
No. The system self-cleans via automatic backwash. Carbon media lasts 1 million+ gallons before the media needs replacing.
What does the warranty cover?
5 years. Both the tank and the control valve are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase. The system is built from NSF-certified parts & media. Media is consumable and not covered.
Does it work on well water?
Carbon-only is best for city water. For well water with iron, sulfur, or bacteria, look at the FE Edition, RE Edition, or pair with our UV sterilizer.
